Release notes

1.0.8

11 August 2026Web app & Extension

Install fixes and lighter syncing

  • Clicking the Flowtion icon in your browser toolbar now opens the web app when you are on a page the sidebar cannot run on — the Chrome Web Store page, for instance. It used to do nothing at all.
  • Installing Flowtion now opens the web app straight away, so you can sign in and finish setup instead of being left on the store page wondering what happens next.
  • Flowtion is lighter on your connection. Returning to a Flowtion tab no longer reloads everything already on your screen, and changes you make elsewhere still arrive the moment they happen. Whether a timer is running is still checked every single time you come back.
  • The daily clear-out of finished tasks from your Today list now runs once a day, instead of every time your browser wakes Flowtion up in the background.

Task status protection

  • Saving your database settings no longer overwrites the statuses you set in Flowtion. Any save from the settings sheet — even one that did not touch status — could previously replace them with values derived from Notion.
  • If a status property is deleted or renamed in Notion, your tasks keep their existing statuses instead of all resetting to not started.
  • Re-running a first-time import no longer overwrites the completion time already recorded on a task.

Sync and analytics fixes

  • Notion database templates no longer sync in as empty, unnamed tasks.
  • Analytics totals now cover your whole selected period. Longer ranges were being silently cut short, so the numbers could read lower than the time you actually tracked.
  • Archived and disconnected databases still appear in analytics, so your history stays complete — archived ones are now marked as such in the database picker.
  • You can add a task to Today, or take it off, straight from the task drawer without it closing on you.
  • Opening a Flowtion dialog no longer shifts the layout of the page underneath it.

Connection reliability

  • Timers keep running reliably across sleep, long idle periods and browser restarts. Flowtion now checks its connection when your computer wakes, and repairs it only when it is genuinely broken — without disturbing a session that is already running.

1.0.3

31 July 2026Web app & Extension

Reliability fixes

  • Flowtion now reconnects itself after your computer wakes from sleep, so a timer left running over a closed lid keeps updating instead of going quiet.
  • Dismissing a finished session now clears it everywhere at once, instead of lingering in your other open tabs.
  • A task you create in Flowtion now shows the status Notion actually gave it, rather than briefly showing "To Do" and correcting itself.

1.0.2

30 July 2026Web app & Extension

More launch fixes

  • Your active task and running timer now clear correctly when that task is completed or taken off Today somewhere else — in Notion, or in the other Flowtion surface.
  • Inline status and due-date edits sync again across all Notion database views, after a change Notion made to its own view tabs.
  • Analytics now render on the right page, and no longer overflow, when a Notion page is opened in side peek or several pages are open at once.

1.0.1

29 July 2026Web app & Extension

Launch fixes

  • Fixed the Flowtion widget not appearing on some Notion pages, after a change to how Notion structures its own cards.
  • The status picker on databases you have not connected now groups options under the same To do / In progress / Complete headings as connected ones, instead of showing a second "Status" heading.
  • Dropdown menus near the bottom of a panel now open upward instead of being cut off.

1.0.0

28 July 2026Web app & Extension

Flowtion 1.0 — first public release

  • Flowtion is out of beta and available on the Chrome Web Store.
  • Focus timers and time tracking that run inside Notion, kept in two-way sync with the tasks and databases you already use.
  • A floating timer that stays visible on every tab, so your hours get tracked wherever the work actually happens — not just on Notion.
  • Plan your day with time estimates per task and a daily focus goal.
  • Change a task’s status, estimate and due date inline, without leaving the page you are on.
  • Analytics for where your time went, broken down by task and by Notion database.
  • Excel and CSV export for invoicing and reporting.
  • Free to start. Pro adds more workspace and database connections, detailed analytics and data export.
